Adhering to a spirit of loving kindness and generosity Metta offers yoga services with individual attention and personal considerations in an emotionally and physically safe environment. We invite our clients to show up as their genuine selves, welcoming everyone, valuing each unique expression and encouraging everyone to be present with themselves where they are. Our yoga is not about aesthetics, prowess, competition, labels or trends.

Safety Our Number One Concern

Open to students of all levels, Metta’s Yoga classes are focused on de-stressing, proper stretching and alignment skills. Yoga postures safely stretch not only the muscles but all of the soft tissues of your body including ligaments, tendons, and the fascia sheath surrounding muscles, releasing the lactic acid that builds up with muscle use and causes stiffness, tension, pain and fatigue. Yoga increases the range of motion in joints and can increase joint lubrication. The focus on full body breathing brings a myriad of health benefits including stress-reduction, regulation of mood and increased concentration.

Additionally Yoga is a gentle way to build strength in the muscles and to improve posture. The outcome is a sense of ease and fluidity throughout the body.

Warm and Inviting Atmosphere

With large windows and warm colours, our yoga space glows and invites you to relax. Designed for small classes (maximum 15 students per class), our space allows us to keep the energy of each group focused and present. The yoga team at Metta is committed to on-going education, safe and appropriate practices and positive impact within our community.

Classes are warm and welcoming. Whether your intention is to develop a new relationship with yoga or to deepen your yoga practice. Our teachers’ commitment is to meet you with friendliness, compassion, appreciation, equanimity and a generous heart.
